FOUNDATION for Windows Intuitive Dispatch Board Handles Scheduling Demands of Service Contracting
September 8, 2009, Cleveland – For Immediate Release: Foundation Software, developer of America’s #1 construction accounting software, FOUNDATION® for Windows®, has introduced a new Service Dispatch module designed to streamline the daily operations of service contractors.
“Service Dispatch provides an end-to-end solution, allowing service contractors to automate their daily operations while simultaneously managing invoicing and inventory,” said Fred Ode, CEO and Chairman of Foundation Software.
An optional module of FOUNDATION, Service Dispatch includes tools that simplify everything from taking calls and creating work orders to scheduling technicians and billing clients. For example, contractors can customize their dispatch board to show daily schedules, items to be dispatched (e.g., technicians, crews or trucks), types of service (such as service, maintenance or repair), and color coding (according to priority, technician, or status).
As service calls come in, the intuitive call center screen makes it easy for operators to quickly locate existing client sites, enter new sites, create work orders and add work details. Using the drag-and-drop dispatch board, dispatch operators can quickly view the day’s service schedule and assign jobs to available technicians. They can also create new service calls, extend or cancel appointments, change technicians, send text messages or emails to technicians, provide mapping and routing information, and perform other scheduling activities.
Billing is also simplified, giving operators the option to create customized invoices and charge for equipment installed, new contracts sold, labor and material costs. And since billing data seamlessly integrates with FOUNDATION’s Accounts Receivable and Inventory modules, redundant data entry is replaced with accurate and timely management of receivables and inventory.
