New Sage FAS 2012 Improves Overall Usability, Providing Small and Mid-Sized Businesses with Increased Productivity


With a significant update to the user interface, including task-based navigation and dedicated functional working areas, this release streamlines customer processes and makes tasks even easier.
 
 
Herndon, VA. (August 9, 2011) – Sage North America announced today the availability of Sage FAS Fixed Assets 2012. With a significant update to the user interface, including task-based navigation and dedicated functional working areas, this release streamlines customer processes and makes tasks even easier. A new graphical process map makes conducting physical inventories simple and an innovative Assistance Center goes beyond mere “Help” to provide customers with industry best practices and access to outside resources. The Sage FAS Asset Accounting family provides easy-to-use fixed asset accounting, depreciation, and reporting features for businesses, governments, schools, and nonprofit organizations.
Feedback received during recent beta testing of Sage FAS 2012 was extremely positive, yielding a Net Promoter Score of 79%, which means that users are enthusiastic supporters and recommenders of the new software. Joyce Tierney from Distributed Systems Services, Inc. commented, “It has a very fluid and intuitive feel. I especially like the Assistance Center—now you are just a click or two away from product answers and accounting information that you need to use the product and do your job better.”
In addition to streamlining fixed asset depreciation and physical inventory tracking activities, the new look and improved features of Sage FAS 2012 make the software even easier to use, thereby providing greater efficiency and productivity.

• Improved handling of transfers and disposals with new transaction timeline
• New Utility Reports offer insight into security, system set-up, and audit trail (available only in Sage FAS 100 and Sage FAS 500)
• Global Task Manager automates multi-company depreciation and reporting (available in Sage FAS 500 only)
• Enhanced combined history tracking with improved display and scheduled purging
• New Reports area makes creating and customizing reports easy with batch reporting that simplifies period end processing and frequently used reports handily accessible with Favorites tab
• New Assistance Center goes beyond help to make you a fixed assets expert
• New System Administration area centralizes your most important set-up and maintenance tasks
• Update thousands of assets instantly with improved import wizard
