Air Systems Engineering Selects Data-Basics to Provide Enterprise Software Solution
HVACR Contractor Chooses SAM Pro Enterprise
CLEVELAND, Ohio—August 23, 2005—After an extensive search for a software solution to more efficiently run its business, Air Systems Engineering, Inc.–an HVACR contractor based in Tacoma, Washington–has recently chosen Data-Basics to streamline its operations. Data-Basics, a leading provider of enterprise applications for the service, construction and facilities management industries, will install its signature SAM Pro Enterprise software suite.
Air Systems Engineering (www.asei.ws), a multifaceted HVAC contractor specializing in service, design-build construction and quick-turn work, has served customers in the Puget Sound since 1973. Among thousands of projects Air Systems Engineering has completed, most notable are the Tacoma Dome, a Direct Digital Controls (DDC) system for the Seattle-Tacoma Airport control tower and multistory buildings for the Washington state government. In addition, ongoing service clients include facilities maintenance for the Pierce County Public Library system, the YMCA of Pierce County and the Metro Parks of Tacoma.
According to Curtis Anderson, president and owner of Air Systems Engineering, it has been running a prior software package that has failed to grow along with the company's needs. SAM Pro Enterprise will offer the company more flexibility and reduced data entry in the near term, while providing a more robust software package that is in line with the company's future growth projections.
"SAM Pro has everything we are looking for," said Sandy Colyer, office manager, Air Systems Engineering. "We'll be able to get a lot more information out of our system, it will be much more user friendly and it will cut down on outside data entry."
The company will implement the service and accounting packages, both of which are tightly integrated with Data-Basics' Rules-Based Management™ (RBM) technology. RBM proactively manages routine activities and enforces rules that have been predetermined by the customer to engage a series of alarms for action. Air Systems is also looking forward to the integrated job costing component.
"[SAM Pro] will improve our record keeping and tracking... especially in the job costing area," said Colyer. "In the past, we had to supplement our software system with separate spreadsheets. Now, SAM Pro will be a one-stop shop."
